Join us on May 12 at Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School in Angus.

This event is open to the public from 6-9 PM.

Explore the Innovation Space (6-9 PM)
Get creative at a variety of stations run by SCDSB teachers and students, Essa Public Library and community partners. Build or code a robot, design your own T-shirt, plant a seed, say 'cheese' in front of the green screen, contribute to a collaborative art piece....there's something for everyone. Hands-on activities are free, but you may want to bring your wallet; our vendors may be selling something you fancy!

Mingle with student inventors & artists at the Student Invention Convention (6-7 PM)
Our student makers will be showcasing a variety of fabulous creations including a plotline quilt, Tetris tie, power-generating septic tank and a vertical garden designed to help refugees. Click here if you have an invention to share.

Attend an Educator PD Session (7-8 PM)
Explore inquiry-based learning, Breakout EDU, strategies for STEAM and makerspaces in your school or classroom, or an introduction to Google Docs and Drive. Click here to register.

Sit back and enjoy the show!
There will be performances by SCDSB actors, musicians, and artists ongoing throughout the evening. At 8:30 PM we will hold a draw for prizes donated by our vendors. Names of all SCDSB educators in attendance will be entered in a draw to receive an iPad.
